Built on a foundation of over 20 years of experience, HPA continues to grow and partner with clients on a variety of strategy and transformation opportunities. Our clients range from mid-market to F1000 and span a handful of industry sectors, including technology and SaaS, healthcare, consumer and retail, food and beverage, financial services, and industrials.
All our engagements are delivered by carefully curated consulting teams that tap into our network of 800+ seasoned consultants including operating executives and senior advisors with extensive functional expertise. This allows us to truly dissect the needs of our clients and create a lasting impact.
As an Associate, you will develop go-to-market strategies, perform industry and company research, and support client proposal development and solution delivery. Your career growth begins the moment you join HPA. New Associates start with three weeks of training designed to build a strong foundation, followed by continuous learning opportunities that set you up for long-term success. You’ll participate in our in-depth Associate Bootcamp once you’ve finished your first year, which equips you to be a core member of client project teams through case study walkthroughs, data analysis exercises, and hands-on practice.
We know the best learning also happens on the job, which is why we emphasize ongoing development through both informal coaching and structured quarterly check-ins during your first year. And with engaging Lunch & Learns that are based on your own passion topics, you’ll find no shortage of opportunities to grow, stretch, and advance your career at the firm.

The role is based in El Segundo, California. Our team currently works in a hybrid model (3 days in the office / week) to facilitate a balance between in-person collaboration and remote days to support deep, focused work.
Resumes are typically accepted throughout September and October for the following year’s Associate Program. Once invited to an interview with us, we will share further details about what you can expect and the approximate timing for each step within the recruitment process.
